Established in 2011, Refresh Market is the largest independent showcase in Squamish and the Sea to Sky corridor and is quickly becoming one of the leading and most talked about markets in B.C, attracting up to 2,500 attendees in a single day. The event is held biannually at Squamish's West Coast Railway Heritage Park.
Refresh Market was created to support and celebrate handmade and artisan culture, and build a new community of creative local designers, makers and indie shop owners.
Known for its highly edited mix of locally made clothing, accessories, home decor items, leather and paper goods, children's wares and more, the market brings together 100 vendors from Pemberton to Metro Vancouver, interactive programming, food trucks, music and good vibes.
The event has also raised more than $5,000 for Squamish Helping Hands Society who provides sustainable shelter and food solutions to the Squamish community.
Refresh Market is produced by Shannon Lorenz and Rachel Boguski, two like-minded mothers and entrepreneurs who bonded over the desire to support local makers and create what they felt was missing in the community: a really, really great day of shopping.
